For our client, a start-up based in Barcelona (Spain), that has created a vertical search engine for Real Estate, we are currently recruiting a Front End Java J2EE Developer. Already profitable, they are online since September 2008. They have received several awards and have recently closed a round of financing to support our growth. Active in 12 different markets, new verticals and regions are to come. Our client has a young and international team (9 nationalities), and their working language is English.
WHAT ARE THEY LOOKING FOR:
You have been working for more than 2 years on commercial Java web development, and have seen and worked with Servlets + JSP 2.0. Ideally, you have experience with the Spring framework. You can code JavaScript efficiently, and have working experience with it. Possibly, you are familiar with at least one popular AJAX framework as well. You have been working with Databases as a developer, and have a strong knowledge of SQL (any database with a good implementation of the SQL92 specification will work). Ideally you have an experience working with NoSQL database or indexing engines like Lucene or Solr. If you have knowledge of Groovy + Grails – it is a plus! And most of all, you have passion for Java development. Overall geekness is a strong plus. Also UE work permit is a must!

- Handling code versions, software revision management systems, merging of different source code tracks;
- Specifying, developing, setting up and maintaining a design environment (manual as well as automated);
- Acting as an adviser and mentor for other less experienced team members if necessary;
- Proactive attitude in identifying soft related problems and suggesting optimization solutions;
- Writing documentation and reports for all development work undertaken.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of OOP software development experience in Java;
- Managed Objects Experience / Expertise;
- Expertise in development platforms & frameworks and in representational languages (e.g. UML, XML);
- Technologies: Spring, Hibernate / JPA, Struts 2;
- Development environments: Eclipse, Ant, Maven;
- Application server: Jboss;
- Databases: Oracle, MySQL;
- Knowledge in: Seam, Rich Faces / JSF and Jasper Reports;
- Previous experience with BPMS (Ultimus, ActiveOS) and BO will be appreciated;

As Software Architect you will have an important role in the end to end software development life cycle for Java solutions. In order to define the customer’s solution, 3 key-words will guide your activities: analysis, design and management. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Good understanding, thorough analysis and good technical translation of the client functional requirements;
- Estimating the needed resources in close collaboration with the Project Manager, after carefully analyzing the customer requirements;
- Writing the documentation for the client business processes and requirements;
- Able to suggest high quality solutions and to lead the development team in the delivery process;
- Ensuring development standards and processes are being followed;
- Participate in meetings with customers/project team on solution issues;
- If needed, evaluate other providers that can contribute to the delivery of a proper solution;
- Participate with solution suggestions in the support phase;
- Secure the functionality and technical quality of deliveries in customer projects, including in situations of change requests;
- Acting as an adviser and mentor for other less experienced team members if necessary;
- Follow configuration and release management processes.
Requirements:
- Around 6 to 8 years of experience in Java in software architecture;
- Hands on experience in Configuration Management, Source Control, Release Management;
- Languages: Java (mandatory, Architect level certification preferred), C++, Perl, awk, sed, XML;
- Technologies/Frameworks: CORBA, RMI, STRUTS 2, XML-RPC, SOAP, Oracle BPEL;
- Web Development: JSP, Servlet, Java Script, HTML, J2EE (EJB 3.0, JTA, Hibernate/JPA, WebServices, JMS, JBI, Spring);
- Environments: Eclipse, Maven, ANT, SVN, CruiseControl;
- Application server: Jboss, Apache;
- Databases: Oracle, MySQL;
- Operating Systems: Solaris, HP-UX, Linux, Windows;
- Knowledge in: Seam, Rich Faces / JSF and Jasper Reports;
- Previous experience with BPMS (Ultimus, ActiveOS) and Business Objects;

Cu o activitate organizata in cadrul a 3 Business Lines – Informatica de Gestiune, Informatica Industriala si Business Process Outsourcing – Grupul Pentalog este implicat in numeroase proiecte internationale si locale si previzioneaza in continuare un efectiv global de 600 de persoane la sfarsitul anului 2010.
In cadrul Pentalog Bucuresti, echipa alocata pentru proiectele unuia dintre cei mai importanti clienti din domeniul financiar-bancar, se extinde in prezent. Proiectul de baza are ca obiectiv central crearea si gestionarea planului de actiune pentru a utiliza eficient resursele IT, cu un impact minim asupra mediului. Conceptul de baza este unul relativ nou, cunoscut si sub denumirea de “Green IT”, iar planul acestui proiect vizeaza 4 puncte principale:
- Instrumente pentru productivitatea individuala: calculator, imprimanta, telefon, etc.
- Centre de date: servere, retele, stocaj, etc.
- Organizarea activitatilor: cele mai bune practici si modalitati de utilizare eficienta a tehnologiei;
- Achizitii: procese si furnizori implicati.
Pentru postul de IT Project Manager, cautam o persoana proactiva, capabila de o buna gestiune a proceselor, resurselor si relatiilor si cu excelente abilitati de comunicare.

- Managementul global al tuturor fazelor proiectului;
- Directionarea si utilizarea optima a rezultatelor din faza de cercetare, realizata pe fiecare directie de activitate;
- Estimarea resurselor, planificarea si urmarirea actiunilor intreprinse;
- Organizarea de workshop-uri pentru fiecare arie de actiune;
- Coordonarea tuturor partilor implicate;
- Managementul riscurilor implicate.
Cerinte:
- Experienta de minim 4 ani in calitate Project Manager pe proiecte similare in domeniul IT (i.e. gestionarea unui numar mare de co-intereati per proiect gestinat) – obligatoriu;
- Domenii bancare: reporting, monitorizare comercial, managementul riscurilor, credit scoring;
- Context tehnic: Business Intelligence (SAS), aplicatii Web (JAVA, HTML), Aix, Windows;
- Tool-uri: MS Project, JIRA, Excel, PWP, HP Quality Center;
- Excelente abilitati de organizare si comunicare;
- Cunoasterea limbii engleze si/sau franceze la nivel avansat – obligatoriu.
